Glass Sliding Roof S-GR

The S-GR glass retractable/ sliding roof is one of the most innovative products by Salinox. It lets you make full use of your space under all weather conditions, providing excellent insulation and protection. Made from a special high-quality aluminum alloy, it can withstand wind, water, and snow loads without compromising safety or comfort.

With folding panels that can retract and open up to leave as much free opening as possible, it allows an unobstructed view of the sky, and full use of natural light and air. The glass roof is constructed with aluminum profiles that can be anodized or painted in a wide variety of electrostatic coatings. The glass panels are double-glazed safety glass and triplex glass for maximum safety, and the upper glass pane is made with the structural bonding method to prevent any water infiltration at joins or seams.

The sliding roof allows the maximum number of panels, minimizing the visual barrier between indoor and outdoor space. Electric motors automatically retract the glass, revealing two-thirds of the opening, with smooth, high-quality motion, adding aesthetic value to the structure. Each section of the glass roof can retract independently, giving you the option to open only part of the covering. The span of the aluminum beams (traverses) can reach up to 7.5 meters. Roofs beyond these dimensions are constructed with a pitched (“double‐sloped”) roof form.

The sliding glass roof is ideal wherever natural light and ventilation are desired indoors: hotels, dining spaces, public buildings, residences and more. It’s also suitable for covering light‐wells or used for a veranda/garden area, especially when combined with folding door systems or retractable windows from the Salinox series.

Innovative Design: The aluminum beams that make up the roof system include an advanced rainwater drainage system. Simultaneously, the double glazing uses structural bonding so that the glass pane is flush with the aluminum profile, avoiding a gutter or ledge. Design Flexibility: The roof can be built to match the exact dimensions of the building’s opening. Depending on the needs, the number and configuration of frames (panels) can be customized. Also, there is an option to choose how many panels are movable/opening. For example, to reduce material cost, only half the panels may open without compromising the visual harmony of the build.
