Glass Fixed Roof F-GR

Fixed glass roofs are a modern structural solution for homes and commercial spaces. They are used and specified by architects, designers, and builders around the world to ensure natural lighting in a space and to free the user’s view from solid, opaque barriers.

The goal for all manufacturers of glass roofs is to create a high-aesthetic product capable of bearing the weight of glazing — including any additional loads (such as snow) — and to remain watertight in rain and severe weather conditions.

Responding to this design challenge and with attention to detail, Salinox has designed a fixed roof (F-GR: Fixed Glazed Roof) that can be built in any size and geometry, from simple rectangular to pyramid or polygonal shapes. In its construction, the roof uses aluminum beams which support single or double safety glass, and as a whole it forms a completely watertight system.

Using only high-strength materials — aluminum and glass — it maximizes the glass surface, offering unobstructed views and protection even under the most difficult conditions.

There is a large number of applications: in residences, in commercial spaces, and in public buildings — wherever natural light inside the building is desired. It is also an ideal solution for covering light wells or for veranda/garden constructions, especially when combined with some of the Salinox series folding doors or retractable windows.

Smart material choice: High-strength materials—aluminum and glass—that stand the test of time and provide full waterproofing and protection of the space.

Bio-climatic construction: The glass roof contributes to the exploitation of the sun’s inexhaustible energy in order to naturally light the building, which brings visible benefits since it helps reduce environmental impact by lowering carbon dioxide emissions.

Healthy environment: As much as possible, maximizing the use of sunlight inside the building affects people’s health and psychology.

Pleasant atmosphere: The glass roof, if proper types of glass are used, contributes to the correct distribution of light within the building’s spaces, resulting in visual comfort and improving the aesthetic of the space.
